biocombustibles anunci\u00f3 que, al 2030, incrementar\u00e1 en un 32% su contribuci\u00f3n a la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones del sector transporte, evitando 5 millones de toneladas adicionales de CO\u2082. El anuncio fue hecho por Carolina Rojas Hayes, presidenta ejecutiva de Fedebiocombustibles, en la apertura de la V Conferencia Internacional de Biocombustibles, que re\u00fane a m\u00e1s de 400 representantes de la industria, el gobierno y la academia.<\/p><p>La proyecci\u00f3n responde a la expansi\u00f3n de los biocombustibles hacia todos los modos de transporte, incluyendo aviaci\u00f3n y navegaci\u00f3n mar\u00edtima. \u00abCada gota de biocombustible que usamos los colombianos est\u00e1 ayudando a reducir emisiones, a generar empleo y a fortalecer nuestra producci\u00f3n nacional. Es una muestra de c\u00f3mo el agro puede ser motor de la transici\u00f3n energ\u00e9tica\u00bb, destac\u00f3 Rojas Hayes ante m\u00e1s de 400 asistentes del sector energ\u00e9tico, productivo y gubernamental.<\/p><p><strong>Segunda generaci\u00f3n: el siguiente paso para los bios en Colombia<\/strong><\/p><p>Uno de los anuncios clave fue la meta de producir 15 millones de galones de biocombustible mar\u00edtimo al 2030, lo que permitir\u00eda reducir hasta un 40% las emisiones del transporte mar\u00edtimo. En paralelo, el sector trabaja en la primera planta de producci\u00f3n de SAF (combustible sostenible de aviaci\u00f3n), que entrar\u00eda en operaci\u00f3n en 2029 con una capacidad de 50 millones de galones anuales, contribuyendo a reducir entre 65% y 70% las emisiones del sector a\u00e9reo.<\/p><h3><strong>Balance del sector y crecimiento proyectado<\/strong><\/h3><p>Los resultados del sector evidencian una tendencia positiva:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><strong>Bioetanol:<\/strong> en 2024 se vendieron 396 millones de litros (+28% vs. 2023) y se proyecta al 2025, 117 millones de litros (+29% vs. 2024).<\/li><li><strong>Biodi\u00e9sel:<\/strong> en 2024 se vendieron 688 mil toneladas, con una proyecci\u00f3n de 716 mil toneladas en 2025 (+2%).<\/li><\/ul><p>En t\u00e9rminos ambientales, entre 2021 y 2024, el uso de biocombustibles permiti\u00f3 evitar la emisi\u00f3n de <strong>12,3 millones de toneladas de CO\u2082<\/strong> y <strong>3.093 toneladas de material particulado<\/strong>.
